Hello! I’m Kimberley
I’m a physiotherapist who has been living and working in Darwin for nine years. For six of those years I have been working specifically with children. I have a particular interest in working with young children with developmental delays or developmental disabilities and a passion for working with children with Cerebral Palsy.
My passion is to work with families to help their children reach their best developmental outcomes and to help all children be as included and involved in all aspects of family and community life that they wish to.
I have experience in equipment prescription such as gait trainers, walking and standing frames, wheelchairs and strollers and specialised supportive trikes. I love working with families to explore how equipment can help their child be more involved in daily life and learning.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne in 2010.
I’m passionate about further study and have done the following courses to refine my paediatric and developmental knowledge:
– Enhancing Skills in Paediatric Physiotherapy: Cerebral Palsy. Monash University, 2018
– Enhancing Skills in Paediatric Physiotherapy. Monash University, 2013
– The High-Risk Infant, Neonatal Intensive Care to Prep (school). Mater Mothers Hospital – Brisbane 2013
I am also a member of the Australasian Academy of Cerebral Palsy Developmental Medicine and a regular attendee to the Conference. I’m also a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).
